An ideal tour for exploring the historical sides with soak up on the gulet. This enjoyable tour includes visits to highlights of old town in Istanbul; natural-shaped fairy chimneys, rock-carved churches, underground cities of Cappadocia; the holy city of Konya; the touristical capital of Turkey, Antalya; blue cruising all along mediterranean shores and the capital of Asia Minor, Ephesus.
Day 1 – Arrival to Istanbul
Arrival to Istanbul and transfer to your hotel in old town. Welcome dinner at traditional Turkish restaurant
Day 2 – Istanbul
We will visit the old town including Topkapi Palace, which was the residence of Ottoman Sultans for about 400 years. Also we will see "Harem" section to learn more about the daily life in the palace. Later on we will be visiting a 1500 years-standing building called Hagia Sophia then we will see the Mosque of Sultan Ahmet known as Blue Mosque on western world with its beautiful blue tiles inside. Basilica Cistern is a 6th century-construction and it is a palace located underground. Finally we finish the day seeing Hippodrome including Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column
Day 3 – Cappadocia
Morning flight to Cappadocia. Afternoon we will have a walking tour to some attractions such as Uchisar Castle, Sinassos Village with many photography options.
Day 4 – Cappadocia
We will visit some more highlights of the region including Goreme Valley and Open Air Museum, Dark Church, Underground City, Love Valley.
Day 5 – Konya
We will have a morning drive to Konya, the holy city of Turkey and famous for its Whirling Dervishes. We will learn much about the Sufis, their lifes and thoughts. Later on we will visit a 13th century Seljuk Madrasa.
Day 6 – Antalya
Morning drive to Antalya and Lycia, the land of all tribes
Day 7 – Cruise Day
In the morning we will drive to Demre and have a lunch on the gulet. We will be visiting Myra where St Nicolas became a bishop and Church of Santa Claus.
Day 8 – Cruise Day
We will cruise to Simena - Kekova - Kas and ride on glass-bottom boats to explore the submurged city. We will also walk to a village nearby.
Day 9 – Cruise Day
We will begin the day with a short cruise to Kalkan, a typical village of pastel-colored houses. Later on we will have a short drive to Xanthos, the capital of the Lycian world.
Day 10 – Cruise Day
We will anchor the gulet under the pine trees and climb up for about one hour to see the Ghost Town, an abandoned Greek village.
Day 11 – Cruise Day
We will cruise to Fethiye, once an important harbour of Telmessos and is now a modern holiday resort. We will stroll through the old houses and climb a little to see the Temple of Amintas who ruled here in 400 BC.
Day 12 – Cruise Day – Kusadasi
After swimming in the morning we will cruise to FORBES Magazine-awarded village of Gocek which is major harbour for chartering sailboats. Afternoon we will disembark and drive to Kusadasi.
Day 13 – Ephesus & Fly to Istanbul
After a short drive we will visit Ephesus, one of the biggest cities of the Roman Empire. Later on we will visit The Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world and Ephesus Museum. In the late afternoon we will fly to Istanbul.
Day 14 – Istanbul
We will have a Bosphorus Cruise landing on Asian side of the city to visit Anatolian Summer Palace. We will drive back to European side through green hills.
Day 15 – Fly Back Home
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
